Paver Blocks are interlocking concrete blocks used for paving the surfaces that are expected to have medium to light traffic. The blocks can be considered as tiles made of concrete with the difference being that of the thickness. The thickness can vary from 40 mm ( 1.5 inches ) to 120 mm (~5 inches ) depending upon the expected traffic and required strength. Pavers are also available in different colors , patterns , shapes and finishes. Pavers can be used in Non vehicular traffic areas  ( Gardens / landscapes, Footpaths, open spaces within campuses etc ), light traffic areas ( Car Parks, Porches, residential area streets etc ), Medium to High Traffic areas ( city roads / arterial roads , bus terminals , public parking etc)

In residential independent house context, pavers can be a good option for paving the extra land available in front of the house open spaces within the campus / plot if vehicular traffic is expected.
