Limestone is a Calcareous sedimentary rock and is one of the most commonly occurring stones. In fact marble is also a type of limestone but due to its better aesthetic value and workability, it is not considered as a limestone. Limestone is not premium flooring materials. Limestone comes in variety of colors like black, white, blue, yellow etc. They are primarily used in paving, verandahs, parking etc. Kota stone & black Cuddapah stone are one of the most common examples of limestone. However Limestone can also be used creatively to create great aesthetic value if someone is looking for value for money options. Some limestones display marble like patterns & grains. Limestone can be polished and can be given a high gloss finish.  Certain lime stones like Cuddapah can also be used for making door frames or supporting structures for kitchen platform. Most common types of limestone used for residential purposes
