Types of Kitchen Sinks based on materials and finishes

Kitchen sinks are available in multiple materials & finishes :

  1. Stainless Steel Sinks ( SS ) : SS sinks are the most common and popular types of sinks. SS provides a sturdy and hygienic option for kitchen sink material. Glossy finish SS is the most common finish. Although some brands also make satin finish and anti scratch finish sinks. Satin finish is a smooth but matt finish with no gloss. Anti scratch sinks have a dotted / textured appearance.
  2.  Quartz Sinks : Quartz sinks are made with engineered quartz that is made with binding natural stone chips together with polymer binders. Quartz clone properties of granite and is available in attractive colors and designs. The advantage of quartz sinks is that they can blend with the material of the counter top making the kitchen counter more attractive and aeethetically pleasing. Quartz sinks are available in multiple colors and single / multi bowl/ drain tray combinations.
  3. Acrylic Solid Surface Sink: Solid surface are synthetic materials that resemble natural stone but have flawless smooth finish, wide range of colors & designs and are flexible. Solid surfaces can be thermo-formed or moulded to a significant extent into desired shapes. Also the joints in solid surfaces are absolutely seamless and can be made completely invisible. These quality makes sinks made of solid surface acrylic a great looking option since the sinks and counter top made of solid surface can be joined to look like a single homogenous piece. In other words the platform simply flows into the sink and takes the shape of bowl making the entire counter top and the sink look like one single piece.
